Pacific Link Housing’s SHEW (Sports, Health, Education and Wellbeing) Program is aimed at supporting the health and wellbeing of young tenants. Funds are available to children aged between 5 and 17 to promote engagement and social inclusion in a registered sport, exercise or wellness activity.
Each successful applicant will be provided with up to $250 per annum per person to cover the costs of membership fees, classes, sporting or school uniforms, cultural activities, and other activities as approved by Pacific Link.
In addition to Pacific Link’s SHEW Scholarship, the NSW Government is helping kids get active with the new Active Kids program. Parents, guardians and carers can apply for a $100 voucher per calendar year for each student enrolled in school. The voucher may be used with a registered activity provider for registration, participation and membership costs for sport, fitness and active recreation activities. For more information about the Active Kids program, check out the Active Kids website.
