Kings Landing is a new community housing project that was developed through a partnership between Evolve Housing and Pacific Link Housing, supported by the NSW Government. The development, managed by Evolve Housing, provides high-quality accommodation for social and affordable housing tenants.

The development was officially launched during an event on Wednesday 14 August, with project partners, the Mayor of the City of Canterbury-Bankstown and other dignitaries in attendance.

Kings Landing is a modern, stylish building that contains 26 studio apartments, of which two are accessible and eight are adaptable for people living with a disability.

Designed to be convenient and to connect residents with their community, Kings Landing is a 10-minute walk from Roselands Shopping Centre, while a 10-minute bus ride to Beverly Hills Station makes the location accessible to many employment opportunities.

Evolve Housing CEO Lyall Gorman said that the development responds to a dire need for affordable housing within the local area.

“As is the case in many parts of Sydney, rents in the Canterbury-Bankstown region are high and often out of reach for even moderate income earners, who have to spend an unsustainable proportion of their income to keep a roof over their heads,” Mr Gorman said.

“Through the opening of Kings Landing, our residents are able to live in this thriving area, close to public transport and amenities, while staying out of housing stress.”

Pacific Link Housing Acting CEO Ian Lynch said: ‘’The completion of the Kings Landing development in Roselands, and subsequent tenanting, will provide outstanding outcomes for all members of the local community.”

“The cooperation of all parties involved has been pleasing, resulting in the development completing on time and within budget, therefore taking another step towards easing the affordable housing shortage in NSW.” Evolve Housing and Pacific Link Housing continue to explore new opportunities to partner with all three tiers of government on developments incorporating both social and affordable housing.
